Residential Treatment Center - Opening 2023
At Ohana Beginnings, we provide education, therapy, shelter/housing, food, and clothing for expecting mothers or parenting single women, ages 13-36. We also include women who have been trafficked, experienced homelessness, or who are otherwise in need of residential treatment services.
Intake is at 12 weeks gestation or with children under the age of 2.
Therapeutic services are also available for addiction, depression/anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), reactionary attachment disorder (RAD), suicidal ideology, self-harm, and other mental/behavioral struggles.
Assistance in acquiring health insurance.
Individualized transition plans to assist you after you choose to either keep your baby or adopt.
Teaching life skills through the Taking Flight curriculum. Taking Flight is our transition program. The ultimate goal is to bring the mother to a state of independence where she can be sustained through her own education, work and genius. Taking Flight prepares her for that independent life.
The seven areas of the program include:
- family and spirituality
- life-long learning
- health and wellness
- fiscal responsibility
- mental/emotional regulation
- social/cultural/global awareness
- service and mentoring
Treatment is offered at the Residential Treatment Center (RTC) and continues at the PHP and ILP levels
Outpatient therapy is also available for pregnant women as well as the general community.
